My brother went to NA meetings because of the the whole God thing at AA meetings. My entire family went with my brother for his one year "birthday". Everyone there was so nice and so positive about my brother. I had never been prouder of him either. He's been clean for more than 5 years now, and many of his friends are from NA. Any of those organizations are amazing and I'm thankful for them.

Yes, shame on me indeed! I would turn in my Project Mayhem ID card at the door but "in Project Mayhem, no one has a name [or presumbly, an ID card), Sir." In fairness, I don't think Jack in FC ever went to an AA meeting. Support groups for testicular cancer, blood parasites, sickle cell anemia and ascending bowl cancer, but not alcoholism.
